The State’s Attorney’s Office represents the people of the State of Illinois as the chief law enforcement officer for all criminal prosecutions which occur in Carroll County.   In this capacity, the State’s Attorney’s Office works closely with all local law enforcement agencies to ensure all criminal laws are enforced.  In addition, the State’s Attorney’s Office provides legal advice and representation for the Carroll County Board and the elected and appointed department heads.   In this capacity, the State’s Attorney’s Office defends all actions brought against the County Board or Carroll County department heads in their official capacity and assists in enforcing the Carroll County Ordinances.
