10. NUISANCE & CODE ENFORCEMENT
ENFORCEMENT: Upon receiving and verifying knowledge of an ordinance violation, a written notice will be issued to the owner of property. A written notice will include a reasonable time frame to bring the violation into compliance, usually with no penalties or fines. Cases that cannot be resolved at this administrative level will be issued a citation and court date to appear before the Circuit Court. A citation fine of $500 may be assessed to the property for each week of non-compliance after the time-frame for correction has passed.
